Whether you are a senior leader or advisor, you are likely enrolled in this training to develop your knowledge on how to influence building a thriving organisational culture.
Sustainable organisational culture development is about development of systemic leadership.
Understanding 'the craft' to then 'influence the system'
We will define and explore the organisational culture from every lens through this training. However, first we need to understand the common denominators of what a high performing team looks like.
To understand how to influence and build culture at an organisational level (systemic leadership), we must understand the universal fundamentals of what it is that the system is needing to support at the individual team level (leadership craft).
REFLECTION
What are the OUTCOMES I am wanting to achieve from this training?
Note down (in your notebook or on paper) your personal goals for this training. Why did you enroll? What problems are you wanting to solve?
These notes are for your reference only.
TIP
If you find it difficult to name outcomes, start with the challenges...
HOW IS IT NOW?What are the problems?
Then think about..
HOW DO I WANT IT TO BE? What would this need to look like?
The remainder of this session is modelled off our building high performing teams training. This is to provide you, the senior leader/advisor to leaders, with the foundational knowledge of the characteristics of high performing teams. These are the characteristics that need to be enabled by 'the organisational system' to subsequently enable the building of a thriving, high performing organisational culture.
This is a fun and insightful curriculum which will set the scene for our second session, where we will delve into 'organisational systems' thinking.
To understand how to influence and build culture at an organisational level, we must understand the fundamentals of what the system is needing, to support at the individual team level.
