Make notes in your Notebook for your reference only
Now it is time to select your own team 'case study' challenge you would like to unpack.
Selecting the challenge...
List the 'key people' related challenges in your organisation
TIP
Think about the themes that are present. Issues that reoccur or are affecting multiple people/teams, or even the organisation as a whole.
Examples can include but are not limited to; workplace bullying, workforce performance, negative culture, high staff turnover and resistant staff.
Number the named challenges in order of priority, most relevant to your role
Number the named challenges in order of priority relevant to your interest/what you are passionate about
Reflect on your assessment and pick the topic you would like to use as a case study for the remainder of this course
TIP
The purpose of picking your case study topic is to guide your learning, so we recommend picking the one that you are most passionate about - even if there are more pressing issues more relevant to your role. This course will give you the knowledge and TOOLS you need to transfer your learning to build an implementation strategy to address other people related challenge.
Naming the goal...
We have learnt a lot already about outcomes, reflecting on what we want to achieve at the personal, team and organisational levels in the previous Module. Now it is time to get specific in naming our objective that we want to explore through the case study. What is the goal? What do we envision things to be like when we have addressed the challenge?
